The terms "stablecoin(s)" and "stable currency(ies)" refer to a type of virtual asset under applicable legislation. This type of virtual asset is designed to reduce volatility in its value and enhance its suitability, with the goal of maintaining a 1:1 relationship with the U.S. dollar.
The term "dollar" is used and displayed on various screens of this website as a reference to represent the value of a virtual asset, not as a balance in Mexican pesos or U.S. dollars, even when this is not explicitly mentioned. What you have in use on this platform is a stablecoin, which is a virtual asset that refers its value to a legal tender, without being legal tender.
The term “spread” refers to the differential between the purchase and sale price of a virtual asset.
The term "FX" refers to the cost or value of acquiring and selling virtual assets.
Rio offers virtual asset intermediation services, which implies the performance of a vulnerable activity and consequently, it is obliged to identify its Clients, as well as to present suspicious activity reports in the terms of the applicable legislation and its money laundering prevention policy.
Rio does not receive on a regular basis and in exchange for the payment of a consideration, commission, benefit or profit, in the national territory, rights or funds in national or foreign currency, directly in its offices or by cable, facsimile, courier services, electronic means, electronic transfer of funds or by any means, with the sole purpose of, in accordance with the sender’s instructions, transferring them abroad, to another place within the national territory or to deliver them, in a single display, at the place where said funds are received, to the designated beneficiary.
Rio does not habitually and professionally engage in the purchase, sale, and exchange of foreign currency, including transactions carried out through the transfer or transmission of funds, with the public within the national territory.
